Unlike the Embassy in Istanbul, as British citizens we had to obtain a letter of invitation. We got STANtours to do this for us. The process is can take between 10 & 14 days, after which you’ll receive an email with a scanned copy of the LOI as well as visa application forms. A single LOI cost £29. You can also pay in Euros and US Dollars, both at different costs.
Take two copies of the application form, LOI, passport photos and the photo-page of your passport.
$96 for one single entry 30 day tourist visa. Unlike every other embassy and consulate we’ve been to so far, conveniently you can pay the USD directly at the consulate, rather than having to find a bank.
